Writing, which is gerund. To the barricades talk a lot more than they write, and for millennia the writing was the work of specialists ... but something is changing.
The emergence of the Internet has created a new need: to write. And this is how millions of people communicate by email, on websites and blogs. Social networks also require writing and perhaps because there are people who live in relatively isolated environments, where the proportion mentioned at the beginning has been reversed: write more than talk.
This transformation of our habits is bound to have, I presume, important consequences, both in the assessment of writing as a channel communication, as in the emergence of new "writers" and "journalists."
What was somewhat complicated, it is now normal. And even the most dare denied in a message to express their feelings and experiences awkwardly.
I expected is the emergence of new literary genres, and writers who decades ago would not have dared to do so.
The dark side of this change would be in the simplification of the literature, and the lies that run through the network more credible if they are absurd. But there is always a cross on any progress. Inevitable because we are so.
